Volga has done well this year in the tourney. They won the first game 12-0 and won the second game 8-2 (or something similar). Both girls were full of smiles at the end of the second game.

She also nailed it. One ball she hit so hard and so fast, it headed straight towards her coach/pitchers head. He fell to his side (literally) to avoid a ball in the face. The crowd and the coach himself laughed and laughed. It was so funny to see. But it was a good thing he reacted so quickly as it could have been really bad.

The girls go back tomorrow to play against Gary at 11am. They are a bit nervous for this game because they lost to them 22-0 in Gary. We told the girls they are doing so good and as they go higher up on the bracket, they will play harder teams because they are all winning. It is a double elimination, so if they do lose tomorrow, they will still play again.
